Anisotropy of 3D spatial point patterns has recently been of importance and interest in many applied areas. Dr. Farzaneh Safavimanesh, an SDAT member, in collaboration with juniorprofessor Claudia Redenbach at the Department of Mathematics, University of Kaiserslautern, Germany and The Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM), Germnay, is currently working on developing and evaluating the perfeormance of the tools in detecting anisotropic structures.
